Post Office Strikes

Planned industrial action will affect Crown Post Offices starting on Monday 19th December. It does not affect the Post Office Shop Online.

Which Post Offices Are Affected?

Only Crown Post Offices are affected by this strike, these are the larger Post Office branches found on High Streets. Workers will be staging five days of strikes starting on Monday 19th December.

The 11,000 branches across the country will not be affected and will be operating as normal.

Will Post Office Shop Online Be Affected?

No. The Post Office Shop is not affected by this strike action and will be operating as normal.

Will this Affect My Christmas Post?

No. Royal Mail will be operating as normal.  They expect “no or little impact on parcels or letter operations”.

Customers will continue to have access to Royal Mail services including pre-paid parcel drop off through over 1,200 Customer Service Points at Delivery Offices nationwide. Customer Service points are open six days a week, with over 200 of the busiest offices also open on Sundays.
