The 3 First Official Royal Wedding Photos Have Been Released

Three official photographs of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been released by Kensington Palace today.

The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the images, with a “thank you” to everyone that took part in celebrating their special day. The three photographs, taken by photographer Alex Lubomirksi, include one image of the happy newlyweds and two images of them together with members of the British Royal Family. The #RoyalWedding was a truly joyous occasion.

The first picture released depicts the couple with members of the Royal household in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle following the carriage procession. Amongst Harry and Meghan are Prince Phillip, Duke of Cambridge and Harry’s older brother, who acted as best man, Harry’s father, Prince Charles, and of course the Queen. The picture also features Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who was the only close family member to attend the event.

The second picture displays the proud Duke and Duchess surrounded by the young bridesmaids and page boys who assisted them in Saturday’s ceremony. You can see Princess Charlotte at the bottom left of the photograph, with Prince George smiling beside Meghan.

The final photograph released shows the couple smiling together as they sit beside each other on the stone steps of the east terrace of Windsor Castle. The two are both beaming with happiness as Harry has his arm draped lovingly around his wife and she rests her arm on his knee.

The Royal Wedding Day

The Duke and Duchess were proclaimed husband and wife on the 19th May at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Hundreds attended the glorious event, as millions watched on live television from across the world as they exchanged their vows.

Meghan wore a custom-made Givenchy wedding dress for the grand ceremony, which featured a simplistic boat neck in pure white and a long veil. In her bouquet, featured Princess Diana’s favourite flowers – forget me not’s – which were handpicked by Harry himself from the White Garden at Kensington Palace, a garden in memory of the Princess of Wales.

However, the bouquet wasn’t the only thing in tribute to the grooms late mother. Inside the chapel, Beside Prince William, remained an empty seat to accommodate Lady Diana. Although she sadly passed away in 1997, the couple wanted leave the chair vacant as a symbolic tribute to his mother.

The Royal Wedding attracted an array of celebrity guests from The Beckhams to Tom Hardy, all in joyous celebration for the happy couple. The day will surely be a special day remembered by all.
