The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new Royal Baby now becomes Her Majesty the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild and seventh in line to the Royal throne.

A Further Announcement on the New Royal Baby to be Made

Adding further comments shortly after the birth of the new Royal Baby, The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry explained that the baby was “a little overdue” but was planning to make a follow-up announcement in a few days’ time to allow everyone to see the baby.

When asked about how he felt to be present at the birth of the new Royal Baby, Prince Harry said:

“I haven’t been at many births.

This is definitely my first birth.

It was amazing, absolutely incredible and, as I said, I’m so incredibly proud of my wife.”

Harry then added:

“As every father and parent will ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to-die-for, so I’m just over the moon.

It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined.”

Many are speculating that the new Royal Baby will be named in the follow up announcement due to be made by the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry.

Royal Family’s Delight on the Birth of the New Royal Baby

After the announcement was made, official correspondence from Buckingham Palace stated that:

“The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.

The Duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.”

Taking to the Social Media platform Instagram, Kensington Palace posted a photo with a caption expressing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were “delighted” by the news of the birth of the new Royal Baby and that they “look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family.”

An Incredible Journey So Far for the Royal Couple

Harry and meghan royal wedding

Since the announcement of their engagement in 2017, the Royal Couple of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been on quite the amazing journey so far!

It began with their Royal Wedding which took place last year on Saturday the 19th of May, an event which captured the attention and hearts of the nation as the two made their vows at St. George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle.

And in the months that followed, the couple then embarked on a 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, an event which marked their very first official trip outside of the UK and Ireland to take place as a married couple.

The exciting news of the expected arrival of a new Royal Baby came to the forefront just shortly after the Royal Couple had set off to travel on their official Royal engagements, when Kensington Palace revealed to the media that the Duchess of Sussex would be expecting a baby in Spring 2019.

It was from this point that anticipation has been high across the country on when exactly the birth would take place, as Buckingham Palace stated several weeks ago that no further information would be given out about the birth, beyond an official statement that it was happening.

We here at the Post Office Shop would like to congratulate the Royal Couple of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, on the birth of their new child.
