Stay Safe Online During Black Friday

Black Friday is just two weeks away and according to the Centre for Retail Research, internet purchases made on that day in the UK are forecast to be close to a staggering £1bn.

On Black Friday in 2014, we spent £810m making online purchases for Christmas and the sales bonanza which coincides with the end of Thanksgiving is set to be even bigger this year.

Of course avoiding the chaotic scenes expected once again in stores across the country would seem to be a very wise decision. But whilst surfing the web instead of joining the mad scramble in store risking life and limb for bargain deals seems a safer bet, shopping online brings with it its own dangers.

So it’s timely that today’s guest post comes from Sainsbury’s Bank Money Matters blog which provides a handy visual guide to shopping safely online.
