Sending Christmas Gifts in the Mail
Make sure your gifts arrive safely and securely this Christmas and save money on your postal costs. Choosing the right packaging is key and here at the Post Office Shop, we’ll show you how with the Go Secure range of bubble and polythene envelopes.
The number of parcels we send and receive is growing every year. Last year, The Royal Mail alone delivered 130 million parcels over Christmas.
When you send gifts in the mail this Christmas, preparation is key.
Have you measured and weighed the item accurately with Postal Scales?
Does the gift need protective wrapping with Bubble Wrap?
Do you have the right sized envelope or box?
Do you have your Christmas Stamps?
Do you have the full address and postcode for the recipient?
Which delivery option do you need? Does it need to be trackable? Does it need to be signed for?
What compensation is available if the parcel is lost or damaged in transit?
Minimise Your Postage Costs This Christmas
The Go Secure range of Extra Strong Envelopes and Light Weight Envelopes will minimise your postage costs and keep the contents of your package secure. These envelopes are weatherproof and tear resistant with a peel and seal closure. Their flexible construction makes them the ideal choice for bulky items, particularly those covered in bubble wrap or other protective wrapping.
Also, they are opaque and so there will be no peeking at the contents before Christmas Day!
The Go Secure Bubble Lined Envelopes are also a great option. They combine a protective bubble lining into the strong FSC certified paper outer envelope. The contents remain secure thanks to the Trifix closure which provides a 1cm continuously sealed, tear resistant edge.
Gifts such as books, toys, framed photographs, shoes, clothing, CD/DVDs and jewellery are all suitable to be sent in one of these polythene or bubble lined envelopes, which are all available in a range of sizes.
Christmas Gift Fact
If you bought all the gifts featured in the song “Twelve Days of Christmas”, it would cost you approximately £106, 359.54 (excluding post and packing)!
