Raise A Smile By Sending A Letter Or Parcel With A Special Touch
Today marks the start of Thinking of You Week 2015 which encourages people to send a card to a different person each day.
Bearing in mind that it has been scientifically proven that receiving a handwritten card or letter creates a positive boost, Thinking of You Week is certainly well worth supporting!
It is all too tempting these days to merely send a text, email or Facebook message rather than posting an actual greeting card but research has shown that sending something in the post makes people feel much more special and cared for.
Who Will You Send A Card To During Thinking Of You Week?
A good starting point would be to send a congratulatory themed card to someone celebrating a birthday this week. Alternatively, friends or family always appreciate a card to mark the arrival of their new offspring, whilst a card to acknowledge a wedding or indeed a wedding anniversary would also be welcomed during Thinking of You Week.
And if there IS someone out there you know celebrating a special occasion, why not consider taking things a step further by adding a special touch with one of our favourite themed stamps?
The Smilers Themed Stamps
The Smilers 2015 Special Edition First Class stamps feature duplicates of the New Baby, Wedding, Happy Birthday and Love Smilers stamps which are clearly a must have for a greetings card, letter or parcel posting to family and friends – especially during Thinking of You Week!
Thinking of You Week is organised by the Greeting Card Association which has been the voice of the greeting card industry since 1919. Thinking of You Week was launched in 2014 and the popularity of this themed event has extended well beyond these shores.
Indeed, Thinking of You Week has gained interest in the US, Australia, South Africa and Canada. Coincidentally, anyone wishing to send surface mail (now known as International Economy) in time for Christmas to some of these far flung places needs to get a move on!
That’s because the Christmas last posting date to send a parcel to Africa (except South Africa), Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Central & South America or New Zealand is Monday 28th September.
