Post Offices Open Seven Days A week
Selected branches of the Post Office are now open on Sundays as part of plans to modernise the network. In fact from over 11,500 Post Office branches nationwide, 1,600 of these are now open on Sundays.
In addition more flexible working hours have also been introduced at a number of branches which will see earlier and later opening during the week too. More than 2,000 Post Office branches are now open an extra 60,000 opening hours per week – some branches of the Post Office are now open from 7.30am to 10.30pm on weekdays.
A new branch finder search engine on the Post Office website informs customers which outlets are now open on Sundays plus earlier and later between Monday and Friday.
The really good news is that the average person is only ever a 15 minute drive away from their nearest Post Office. Or another way of putting it, ninety-nine per cent of the population lives within three miles of a Post Office branch, many of which are now open longer serving both individuals as well as small business customers.
Serving around 18 million customers a week, the Post Office offers unrivalled reach in terms of accessibility, convenience and personal service.
The longer opening hours mean customers can take more advantage of the extensive range of around 170 different services and products provided by the Post Office in branch including the Drop and Go offering whereby customers can simply hand over mail for processing saving SMEs valuable time.
