Top Ten Creative Ways to Use Your Laminator at Christmas

Laminator Christmas Craft Ideas

Christmas Planner. As Christmas draws ever closer, are you beginning to panic? When do I need to send my Christmas Cards? What day is the School Nativity Play? When should I order the Christmas turkey? Take some of the stress out of Christmas by creating your very own dry wipe Christmas Planner.

In addition, you can also create a Christmas Day Timetable so preparing and cooking your Christmas dinner runs like clockwork. No frozen turkey and no chance of leaving the pigs in blankets in the oven only to discover them on Boxing Day morning.

A Sign for Santa. Christmas Eve is a busy time for Santa Claus and because he doesn’t have sat nav on his trusted sleigh, he needs a little help getting around. Make a sign, “Santa Please Stop Here” to place on your front door so he knows he has come to the right house.

Christmas Decorations. A simple yet a great way to personalise your Christmas tree. Cut out some family photos and laminate them. Then, cut them into festive shapes, baubles or bells, to hang on the tree.

A Family Year Book. We constantly take photos on our phones, yet how often do we actually take the time to print them? Create a special gift for grandparents, aunts and uncles in the form of a family year book. Print out all your favourite photos that you have taken throughout the year. Get each member of the family to write about what is happening in each photo. Laminate the photos and written pages. This is a great way to captur e and retain those special family memories.

A Laminated Bookmark is a far better option than a battered train ticket or folded over page corner. You can laminate a favourite picture, inspirational quote or maybe some dried pressed flowers or collected autumn leaves.

Laminate Family Photos to add a personal touch to your Christmas Day dining table. Have some fun and find some old photos of all your family as children and see if everyone can guess who is who.

Recipe Cards. You have used your nan’s trusted Christmas cake recipe for years, but it is now looking a little frayed around the edges. Laminate all your favourite recipes so they will be as good as new, year after year. You can be as messy as you like in the kitchen too as they will wipe clean, no matter how much flour and eggs you spill.

Card Games. Create a simple card game such as Snap. Select a series of pictures with a theme such as animals, nature or your favourite cartoon characters. Print out two copies of each picture and then laminate each card. Laminating the cards will ensure they withstand the rigours of excited children during the Christmas holidays.

Board Games and Puzzles. You can create crosswords, word searches, snakes and ladders, battleships, even your own personal version of Monopoly. Many templates can be found via a quick search online, or you could invent your very own board game. Just use your imagination!

Gift tags. Paper or card gift tags can often get damaged or even fall off a present. Laminating your gift tag makes it more durable. You can also make it extra special for the recipient with a more personalised message or design.
